Produce & Herbs

garlicWith local supermarkets all over the lower mainland selling produce, why would you choose to take a drive out to Westham Island to purchase your produce? It's simple: it’s locally grown, harvested when it’s truly ripe for the picking, of high quality and absolutely unsurpassed in taste! Not to mention, the experience of buying directly from the farm contributes to the total food experience!

My goal is to offer produce hand-harvested and picked daily from the field, ensuring the freshest fruits and vegetables you can buy. My colourful market area is filled with dozens of fruits and vegetable varieties grown right here at our farm. I also select fresh produce from our neighbours and the Okanagan to ensure that you won't be disappointed when you come out.

In addition to all the tasty produce, I offer a wide selection of vegetable and herb seedlings early in the season for you to take home and plant in your own garden. Starting with my carefully selected seedlings, you could grow all your own fresh basil, rosemary, thyme and other herbs. Furthermore, you can select from my collection of tomatoes, onions, artichokes and other vegetable varieties. I find and include many heirloom cultivars that are not typically stocked at common garden centres.

If your hands are lacking green thumbs (or even if they are not), I invite you to come later in the season to enjoy my harvest of mostly organic produce. My selection of fresh picked herbs has attracted many local gourmet chefs to come out and view my crops. I typically have artichokes, carrots, beets, onions, field tomatoes and squash among other hearty vegetables and small fruits. You must come and check out my selection of potatoes. I carry many of the usual varieties (early warba (nuggets), reds, yellow fleshed and russets) but also throw in some unusual ones like purple and fingerling varieties, just what you need to add to your next special dinner party. Just be sure to tell your guests where you got them from!

Give me a call or send an e-mail if you have any specific questions regarding which crops we may have available at any time.
