Fall Tours 2010
Fall Farm Tours — Ideal for Young School Classes — Available in Fall 2010
(or other groups that would like to visit the farm and plunder our pumpkin patch)
Westham Island Herb Farm offers a great educational tour for school classes and other groups from October 1 to October 31. The tour takes your group through some of our 160 acre farm to learn a little about farming. It includes a visit to our 100 year-old barn that continues to store our hay, straw and cows with their calves. Completing the experience is a trip to our pumpkin patch where the perfect pumpkin is waiting to be taken home. Tour includes one pumpkin per child. Children can pick any pumpkin that they can carry from the field up to the size of a soccer ball. Cost is $5 per child. Accompanying adults are free but will have to pay for any pumpkins they take home.
Be sure that the kids wear warm clothing, boots and hats that the parents won’t mind getting a little dirty. Also, bring a plastic shopping bag to use in carrying your pumpkin home.
